Copics in Distress – Rose 2

I love this Tim Holtz Rose 2 Rubber Stamp from Stampers Anonymous. I colored the roses and foliage with Copic markers (RV11, RV32, RV34, YG03, YG17, YG67), heat set the image and then went over everything with Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet, Twisted Citron).  I finished it off with some water spritzing.

Year of the Rooster

The adorable roosters (Ranger gold embossing powder) and background stamps (Distress Festive Berries ink) are new from Mama Elephant. I went around the edges of the Lipstick Red cardstock from Simon Says Stamp with Distress Festive Berries and Vintage Photo after I added some dots with a white gel pen. I stacked this piece on top of some origami paper and a Hero Arts card base.

Happy Year of the Rooster!

Creative Chemistry 102: Rusting with Distress Powder

A cool product I used today in Creative Chemistry was Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder.  The really neat thing about this is that it is designed to give you that “rust” effect no matter what you put it on.  Ranger makes a Distress Embossing Ink that is nice and wet, giving you a little extra time while you are working as it won’t dry right away and holding on to a lot of that great embossing powder.

No project is finished until the Distress Ink is added to the tag, of course!
