I had small gifts that needed the perfect packaging so I broke out my new We R Memory Keepers gift bag punchboard. Using some Tim Holtz French Industrial vintage inspired paper, I was able to create this adorable gift bag which I finished off with a gold elastic ribbon.
This is the same wet-on-dry technique that I used yesterday. For this version I used Arches cold pressed 14o lb paper instead of hot pressed, Gansai Tambi watercolors and an Avery Elle rectangle die in addition to circle die from the infinity circle die set by Hero Arts. Which do you prefer?
I love this Tim Holtz Rose 2 Rubber Stamp from Stampers Anonymous. I colored the roses and foliage with Copic markers (RV11, RV32, RV34, YG03, YG17, YG67), heat set the image and then went over everything with Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Victorian Velvet, Twisted Citron). I finished it off with some water spritzing.
I die cut Lipstick Red cardstock from Simon Says Stamp with their new release, Flowing Vine Collage. I finished off the red piece with Stitched Rectangles by Tim Holtz. The blue green and the black base are from Hero Arts. I hand lettered “Love” in the opening and then put it all together with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.
I have added this card to my Etsy shop here.
I designed the card using this dapper skull from the Tim Holtz Undertaker collection from Stampers Anonymous and the Love stamp and die from Hero Arts.
To create the background for the skull, I used copic inks and blending solution and metallic mixative from Ranger on alcohol ink cardstock (also from Ranger). I stamped the image on top with Ranger black archival ink.
After stamping the card base with the “love” stamp in magenta hue archival ink, I die cut the “love” from some pink foam and adhered Distress Spun Sugar glitter.
To finish off the card I applied some black onyx sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and sprayed the whole card with shimmer spray.
I’ve added this to my Etsy Shop which you can see here. (Skeleton crew not included)
Um…the deer and I don’t know if it is going to get better than this. Anyway, happy holidays and enjoy life’s moments, even if they are not the moment’s you planned on!
I know they really do think they’re helping …
Skeleton Crew is back in action – so far so good?!
Mini Cooper and Wanda Guess were the inspiration for this card. I love the Mini Cooper car and I was thrilled to find this Rubber Meets the Road stamp on Ebay. I stamped the Cooper using Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on Simon Says stamp #120 white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment underneath.(Merry and Bright monthly kit from Simon Says Stamp) I paired it up with a piece from Doodlebug’s “Here Comes Santa” papers (Merry and Bright monthly kit from Simon Says Stamp) and then put it all on a Lipstick Red cardstock from Simon Says Stamp after I stamped the Cooper on it with Distress Festive Berries for a nice tone on tone background. After seeing this type of tonal background on the Simon Says Stamp blog post from Wanda Guess, I had to try it with the Cooper. Tiny Tinsel and Stars from Tim Holtz Idea-ology.
I can’t wait to send out this card!
Working on a collage box – extreme close up of the deer family in the snowy woods!
I die cut the Hero Arts Confetti Stars into some Tim Holtz Heavy stock. I Distressed the stock with Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Gathered Twigs. Over the top of that, I put some white gel pen dots and Shimmer Spray. After heat setting, this piece was adhered to some Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue card stock.
Stained small and mini trees from Tim Holtz and Idea-ology with Bundled Sage and Forest Moss Distress Spray Stain. To be continued…
