I designed the card using this dapper skull from the Tim Holtz Undertaker collection from Stampers Anonymous and the Love stamp and die from Hero Arts.
To create the background for the skull, I used copic inks and blending solution and metallic mixative from Ranger on alcohol ink cardstock (also from Ranger). I stamped the image on top with Ranger black archival ink.
After stamping the card base with the “love” stamp in magenta hue archival ink, I die cut the “love” from some pink foam and adhered Distress Spun Sugar glitter.
To finish off the card I applied some black onyx sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and sprayed the whole card with shimmer spray.
I’ve added this to my Etsy Shop which you can see here. (Skeleton crew not included)
First I stamped some Ranger Gloss Paper with the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Dots & Hearts background stamp in Ranger Archival Carnation Red. On top of that I took stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Merry and Bright kit (hearts, flowers, asterisks and snowflakes) and stamped them in other bright colored Ranger Archival Inks. After I heat set that I applied some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and buffed it out over the images. I then stamped the gifts, Christmas tree and sentiment in black archival ink . The polka dot paper in the kit is from Doodlebug and I cut that down and went around the edges with the Gathered Twigs. The kit was tied with a red ribbon so I cut some of that, applied Gathered Twigs to it, tied it and adhered it to the top of the tag made from Simon Says Stamp Green Apple cardstock.
This curious collage box was so fun to make! First I stamped tissue paper from Idea-ology with some wonderfully ghoulish stamps from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. Using a collage medium, I applied various ephemera from Idea-ology of the same ghoulish nature. When everything was dry, I applied various colors of Distress Crayon on and around the ephemera and let that set to dry. The box is covered on all four sides and the bottom.
This was so much fun to make!

Today in Creative Chemistry 103, after we created a background of alcohol ink on Yupo paper, we stamped an image with archival ink and then applied color by painting with the alcohol ink.
I love applying the ink this way!
Creative Chemistry 103 is continuing the exploration of alcohol inks from 101 and 102, this time using the wonderful, synthetic Yupo paper.
The alcohol ink on the Yupo paper reacts with the Archival Ink to achieve this terrific effect.
This episode of Creative Chemistry 103 had us experimenting with Distress Crayon on top of Collage Medium to achieve different effects. I took the spooky route – so much fun!
Creative Chemistry 103 explored another way to use Distress Crayons as a resist. The interesting thing is that one of the ways you can apply the crayons is as watercolor paint but after the crayons are dry, they can function as a resist against Distress Ink so you can ink right over the image and add water as you would to many Distress Ink techniques without it reacting to the image.
Creative Chemistry 103 headed into the world of collage! Wow.
Today in Creative Chemistry 103 we added a new product to our repertoire – Remnant Rubs!
For this technique, I chose a Halloween theme of poisons!
