Right in time for Thanksgiving I am excited to offer you my first holiday card – the tiny gilded turkey! The cards are 3.5 x 5 (envelope included) and are blank inside making them perfect to send as well wishes for the holiday or thank you to your host and/or hostess for the festive day. The turkey image is from a vintage letterpress block on my vintage letterpress machine. Each one is individually hand printed on Crane Lettra paper. You can feel the imprint of the image pressed into this lush paper, giving you pause, because this feels like something special.

For my lastInkTober entry I decided to do 2 ink paintings of the same scene using X-PressIt blending card (which I normally use with my Copic markers) on the left and Arches cold pressed watercolor paper on the right.
Sandy Allnock’s Art-Classes.com currently offers a free watercolor landscape paint-a-long and this night scene was one of the options. Artsnacks offered an Inktober bundle and in it they included a bottle of Kuretake’s Sumi Ink 60 and a paint brush. I was dying to paint with the ink so instead of using the wonderful, deep blue and purple watercolors, I mashed it up so that I could do the scene in black and white using only the ink.
Thank you for following and I hope you enjoyed InkTober 2017!
